Interview with Shari and Amie from P.R.I.N.T
On June 30, 2018, I conducted an interview with the Paranormal Research and Investigation Nebraska Team (P.R.I.N.T). During the interview we discussed the history of P.R.I.N.T and the several paranormal experiences the group has had over the years.
Shari and Amie founded P.R.I.N.T in 2009. Their first paranormal investigation took place at the Villisca Axe Murder house in Villisca, Iowa. After having some incredible experiences and capturing some compelling evidence, they decided to create the team and continue investigating other locations.
For the last 9 years, P.R.I.N.T has conducted paranormal investigations at multiple locations in Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, and Kansas. Aside from their memorable experience in Villisca, some of the most notable investigations took place in Henderson, Homer, Nebraska City, and Lincoln, Nebraska. The members of the team shared a plethora of paranormal experiences with me. One particular story involved an investigation of Pioneer Cemetery in Henderson, Nebraska. While in the cemetery, they could hear the sound of a car coming up the road nearby and the sound of tires on the gravel rolling up to the area they were in. When they went to find out who was stopping, they found no one. The area was vacant of any cars or people. Later in the evening they heard odd noises and were able to capture an orb that resembled a cat face. One of their favorite places to investigate is Antelope Park in Lincoln, Nebraska because they have been able to converse with spirits on multiple occasions, have been touched, smelled odd odors, experienced extreme fluctuations in temperature, and have never left the park without a new story to share.
Throughout the years, over the course of multiple investigations, they have experienced seeing shadows, hearing voices, having objects thrown at them, capturing faces in photos, capturing voices on recorders, drastic changes in temperature, watching objects move in particular manners, smelling odd odors, and speaking with spirits who actually interacted with their questions.
P.R.I.N.T. likes to keep their equipment simple. They rely mainly on voice recorders, but frequently bring along a Ghost Box, which uses radio frequency at a high rate to pick up words from entities, a laser grid, video recorders, and cameras. They recently added a Boo Bear to their inventory, which detects electromagnetic frequency and responds with paws that light up. The Boo Bear also detects motion, temperature, and responds with the use of voice technology. Although P.R.I.N.T has an array of different types of equipment, they like to use voice recorders and the Ghost Box most often.
They also believe strongly that experiences are the most important aspect of ghost hunting. Getting evidence becomes second when trying to actually learn about the paranormal firsthand. “Just experience it,” Shari said. She believes that focusing too much on equipment can take away from the fun and importance of investigating. The enjoyment involved in being able to see something with your own eyes can be taken away when the focus shifts too far from real life. Obviously capturing evidence that can be documented and shared is an element of ghost hunting that comes standard to the practice, but being able to share stories about seeing or hearing something is just as integral to being a paranormal investigator.
Every October, the team goes to Nebraska City to provide a tour, history, and an investigation of a particular location. More information about the next dates for this event can be found on their Facebook page.
P.R.I.N.T.’s website is currently under construction, but you can check them out on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/printghosthunters/
P.R.I.N.T. is based in Lincoln, Nebraska and they do take requests for paranormal investigations. They also provide help if someone needs to talk about their experiences and can provide advice to help others better understand what may be happening in a place such as their home. If you are searching for a paranormal team to help you out, I highly recommend getting in contact with P.R.I.N.T.
